NICKITA BAHMANI

Nickita Bahmani, a prominent Persian-Iranian artist, has carved an impressive niche in the art world. Her story unfolds in Iran, where she spent her formative years before her family sought a brighter future in England amidst the Iranian Revolution. Blending her rich cultural history with contemporary artistic styles, Nickita's art explores the unique intersection of tradition and modernity. In 2015, a multiple myeloma diagnosis marked a turning point in her life, prompting her to fully dedicate herself to her artistic passion. Initially, her art practice served as a means of lifting her spirits and offering meditative escape from reality.
As her work evolved, Nickita seamlessly incorporated elements of fantasy and modern abstraction into her exploration of cultural heritage. Her art now features a number of series centered around the concept of the "ideal body," reflecting her perceptions of contemporary beauty. These series capture the transformation of her inner self into an ideal embodiment of body, mind, and soul, transcending physical limitations.
